How your data is handled

Divorce Moderator operates the service available at dmoderator.com and decides how personal data is processed. Requests about this policy can be sent to privacy@dmoderator.com.

Account data: email address, display name, authentication identifiers, account timestamps.

Conversation data: the text you write, the moderated version produced from it, categories and internal risk flags, delivery and read timestamps, agreements and responses, and an append-only record of actions taken in the conversation.

Optional profile data: a child's first name and date of birth, if you choose to add it.

Technical data: IP address, device and browser information, and error diagnostics produced when the service is used.

To provide the service under our contract with you: creating accounts, moderating messages, delivering them, and maintaining the communication record.

On the basis of legitimate interests: keeping the service secure, preventing abuse, diagnosing failures, and sending operational notifications such as an unread-message reminder.

Where required, on the basis of your consent — for example optional analytics.

The text you originally write is visible only to you. The other participant receives only the moderated version and can never access your original wording through the application. This separation is enforced by database-level access rules, not only by the interface.

Messages are processed by an automated moderation system before delivery. It removes personal conflict while preserving the factual substance and does not make legal determinations, judge who is right, or assess anyone's character. You always see and approve the moderated version before it is delivered.

Data is shared only with processors that operate the service: hosting and database infrastructure, the email delivery service, and the moderation model provider. They process data on our instructions. We do not sell personal data or use it for advertising.

Conversation records are retained while your account exists, because their value lies in being a continuous record. Delivered messages cannot be edited or silently removed; corrections are added as new entries. When you request deletion, account data and your original messages are removed; entries already delivered to the other participant remain part of their record.

Depending on where you live, you may request access, correction, deletion, a copy of your data in portable form, restriction of processing, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can export your record at any time from the conversation settings, and request deletion from the same place. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

Data is transmitted over TLS and stored with row-level access rules so that each participant reaches only what they are entitled to. Model and email credentials are held server-side and are never exposed to the browser.

The service is for adults. Children do not hold accounts. A child's first name and date of birth may be added by a participant solely to make scheduling and care arrangements clear.

If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be published here with a new date and, where appropriate, announced in the application.
