Cookie policy

Cookies and local storage

Last updated: 13 September 2026. We keep this to the minimum needed to run a private communication service. No message content is ever stored in a cookie.

Strictly necessary

Session and authentication. Keeps you signed in between page loads and protects requests you make. Without these the service cannot work, so they are set without consent.

Consent choice. Remembers the answer you gave in the cookie notice so it is not shown again.

Interface preferences. Small settings such as hiding message previews in notifications.

Optional analytics

Aggregated usage measurement that tells us which parts of the service are used and where people get stuck. These are set only if you accept them, and they never carry message content.

Changing your choice

You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing this site's cookies and site data in your browser; the notice will appear again on your next visit. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will sign you out and prevent the service from working.

How your data is used more broadly is described in the privacy policy.
